This edition of History Matters Journal is dedicated to the life and work of Marika Sherwood, our friend, colleague and mentor who sadly died in February last year at the age of 87. Marika was an enthusiastic supporter of the decision to begin work on the Journal, which has always aimed to be a successor of the work she initiated with the BASA Newsletter in 1991.
